Mode - Freight Transport

Freight involves the movement of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods from supplier to consumer and the movement of new and used consumer products back to supplier. It is also concerned with the movement of agricultural products and animals and the movement of waste. Freight transport is increasingly multimodal and multimodal using local, regional, national and international logistics services to organise and manage the supply chain. The efficiency and quality of these services has an impact on modal choice in freight transport demand and commercial relationships between shippers and transport service providers.
