Welcome to TAN – The Network of Independent Transport Consultants

We are a grouping of UK-based transport experts, many of whom have held senior posts in government or major firms; together we offer a unique combination of expertise and objectivity. We provide independent consultancy advice for a variety of clients, and offer our services as individuals or small groups, drawing on a wide range of skills and experience.

Membership is by invitation only.

Our Members

The Network currently comprises twenty professionals, with expertise across transport issues. We are all active as independent consultants, maintaining valuable contacts with Government and industry.

We keep a close watch on developments in our own particular transport specialism, and share that knowledge across the Network.

TAN expertise is particularly strong in Intelligent Transport Systems, highway operations, and social research and accessibility.
